Assalamu alaykum wa rahmutllah wa barakatuh,
My name is Mohmed Khaled, from Egypt. I graduated from Al-Azhar University Faculty of Languages and Translation, English Department, memorized all of the Holy Quran with Ijaza in Hafs An Asim and studied Islamic sciences at Al-Azhar School & University and other Islamic institutes.
Insha'Allah, I use the teaching methodology applied in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) the companions (May Allah be pleased with them) who would learn to recite ten verses from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. They would not take another ten verses until they understood the knowledge and deeds they contained. Therefore, they said, “We learned sacred knowledge and action together.”
Definitely, learning how to recite the Quran is an act of high reward, but understanding the meaning of the verses and learning how to apply them are the core of the Quran. Allah said, " (This is) a Book (the Qur’an) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember." (38:29). In order to be guided by Allah's book, we need to learn the meaning of the Quran verses along with learning how to recite. That's why I apply this methodology in order to reap the fruits of the Quran.
I am certified in Tafsir Surat Al-Fatiha and the last two parts and the first seven parts of the Qur'an from the book of "Almokhtasar fi Tafsir al-Qur'an al-Karim" in English and studied an online course on how to ponder the Quran; in addition to studying Islamic sciences in both Arabic and English.
