As a professor in biomedical science, I have been conducting research, supervising postdoc, medical student, graduate student, and graduate/undergraduate student as well as exceptional high schooler for over 20 years, and teaching for general bio, cell bio, molecular bio, genetics/genomics, biochemistry as well as pre-Med classes both in person and online almost two decades.
The teaching format and style for me is quite flexible and mostly depends on the requirements/goals as well as the background of students, could go with the textbook and/or beyond the textbook. Or for a particular purpose - exams/tests or cutting-edge knowledges/technologies such as Science behind the covid-19 outbreak, vaccine and treatment, and tests of covid-19; or most powerful genetic editing/engineering tools.
