Hi. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I have been teaching English at private centres for about 16 years now. I have taught students as young as 5 up to 16. I have also taught adults conversational English and IELTS. I am familiar with the Cambridge English Qualifications. I have helped my students, mainly non-native speakers of English, in the four main areas of their English language learning journey which are Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. I haven't really taught in a proper school though but I've taken on some teaching substitution posts in a school when I first started my teaching career. I like to include quizzes in my classes to engage students and as a form of review for the lessons that I have taught. I prefer a more activity-based methodology rather than listening to the teacher talking. I encourage feedback and opinion from students as long as they are related to the lesson. I think having fun is part of the learning process but I will also keep it under control because there are times that we need to be serious in order to pass the knowledge through effectively. I believe practice really makes perfect especially when it comes to language learning. And last but not least, my motto is, to teach, is to learn, for a lifetime.     I have taught students as young as 5 up to 16 and prepared them for Cambridge English Qualifications. The levels that I have taught range from Young Learners English to General and Academic English. In Young Learners English (YLE), I have experience teaching all levels of exam preparatory courses. They are Starters (exam level), Super Starters (exam preparation level), Movers (exam level), Mighty Movers (exam preparation level), Flyers (exam level), and Fantastic Flyers (exam preparation level). As for General and Academic English, I have taught Pre-KET, KET, Pre-PET, PET, and FCE.

    I have also got the experience in teaching beginners adults conversational English lessons and IELTS preparation classes for both Academic and General Training.

    I have taught phonics and grammar in the Junior English courses by using the synthetic phonics programme called Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar to younger learners, mostly pre-schoolers, aged 4 to 6, to help them develop reading and writing skills at an early age.

    I conducted online classes throughout the Movement Control Order period between 2020 to 2021 using Google Meet and various online teaching tools and platforms such as Wordwall, Quizizz, Kahoot and ClassDojo to engage students in the lessons.
