From my experience of teaching children, I have been able to discern that the ultimate mark of a good teacher is her/his ability to see from their student's perspective, and to practice kindness and patience. A proper learning environment requires a safe space free from judgment. Questions are welcomed no matter how repetitive and no one should be underestimated. In my experience I managed to teach 9 year olds words more advanced than their age by simply associating meanings to help them remember and instilling the belief in them that they are capable of more than they can imagine. I see in my students everything that they could possibly be one day. There is no such thing as failure only setbacks. Mistakes are allowed as they make us human. As a teacher you learn from your students as much as you teach them. It is a mutually rewarding process.
