I have been teaching English and English Literature to both senior and junior students for the past 9 years.
I have also consistently taught and prepared examination classes and have been awarded repeatedly for outstanding results in both subject areas.
I am able to teach both the local Examinations Council curriculum (Grade 8-12) and the Cambridge curriculum (Key Stage 3 and 4).
Using a learner-centered approach to learning, all the learning needs of my learners are adequately addressed. The use of participatory methods ensures that learners take ownership of their learning.
Among my strengths as a teacher, is the ability to create a rapport that encourages the learners to seek guidance where they are uncertain. My learners are also encouraged to be as creative as they can in their writing as this is a core skill required for life after school. Since I teach Literature and Language, it is easier for me to get the learner to excel in the use of language as I notoriously make use of their reading to improve their summary, comprehension and writing skills.
