As an educator, my ultimate goal is to build the foundational knowledge that a student will need to be successful in their respective Mathematics subjects. It is my desire to go beyond just rote memorization, and help instill in a student a deeper level of understanding of what Math really is. In order to achieve this, I approach the needs of my tutee by first identifying which specific skills they need to improve on. It is often the case that a student will be deficient in some aspect of algebra or geometry. Afterwards, I work on re-developing this area while integrating those relearned skills into the current subjects that a student needs help with. I have currently been able to help students from grade 2 until college. I can also assist in college entrance exam preparation. Ultimately, it is my goal to develop some level of passion in the student, such that they will gain a new level of confidence and appreciation for Mathematics.

Experience

  • Tutor (Feb, 2022–Present) at Beginners Playschool and Learning Center, Marikina
    Provide daily online tutorial to the students of the learning center. Assist in assignments and exam preparation.
  • Project Assistant (Jan, 2021–Dec, 2021) at Philiipine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology
    Assist in the dissection of daily seismic activities. Assist in any other activity required by the Data management department.

Fee details

    ₱250–500/hour (US$4.29–8.58/hour)

    Fee increases based on the difficulty of the subject and higher on weekends
