With over eight years of experience as a bioinformatician, I have developed a deep expertise in target and drug discovery, machine learning, and scientific writing. Throughout my career, I have specialized in creating and implementing bioinformatics pipelines, with a focus on analyzing complex datasets such as genomics, RNA-seq, and microarray data. My technical proficiency in machine learning tools—including R, Python, KNIME, and Weka—has been instrumental in extracting meaningful insights from vast biological datasets, enabling the identification of potential disease inhibitors, predicting adverse drug reactions, and uncovering disease-associated mutations and genes.
In addition to my technical skills, I have authored 56 research papers and contributed to five book chapters, all published in leading journals. This body of work not only showcases my subject matter expertise but also demonstrates my ability to communicate complex scientific concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
As an educator, I am committed to teaching bioinformatics to students from non-computational backgrounds in a way that bridges the gap between biology and computational science. By using relatable biological examples and linking them with computational tools, I aim to help students—whether at the bachelor's or master's level—gain a comprehensive understanding that will prepare them for their future careers, rather than just completing the syllabus. My approach is designed to build both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
