After a big gap of 25 years, I had a strong desire to continue my Carnatic music classes and I'm really grateful to have found Aarthi 6 months ago. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and style of her teaching - the way in which she explains the ragas, her emphasis on gamakams, and her relentless effort to correct any mistakes, how much ever small they may be. She is extremely passionate about Carnatic music and is a great inspiration and role model for any student who wants to pursue music. Having learned music as a child for a few years, I can vouch for the fact that she is one of the best teachers I've come across so far. Aarthi is very committed and flexible with her schedule to ensure there is no break in the practice or progress of the student. Thank you Aarthi for instilling the love for Carnatic music in my life!

I like that Aarthi teacher teaches at a good pace which suits all of us, neither too fast nor too slow.
She makes the classes interesting by talking and engaging with us and sharing with us more about the Ragas we are learning.

As a parent I like that Aarthi is very sincere and passionate about teaching music the kids. Even on days when class is not possible she takes the effort to coordinate and arrange a separate session. She is very punctual and always starts the class on time and goes the extra mile.

Aarthi ma'am is very approachable, kind and I must say, hardworking. She is willing to put effort into teaching us and is always very flexible. Moreover, her style of teaching is very fun, yet fast and she makes sure that we understand everything before moving on. No matter how much of a small mistake we make, she will make sure to correct it so we improve the way we sing.

I have only been learning under Miss Aarthi for a short time. Our journey began just last December but in this time she has made such a profound impact on me. She has taught me valuable lessons and instilled a love for Carnatic music that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Her own passion for the art is so infectious one cannot help but feel excitement. I hope many more students have the privilege of being in her tutelage.

I am privileged to have such a learned and amazing teacher such as Aarthi Ma’am as my Guru! In the short time I have learned from her, she has taught me so much and especially has improved my understanding of gamakams, and how to properly execute and sing varnams. When Aarthi Ma’am taught us in the first lesson, her beautiful melodious voice and emphasis on gamakams were what caught my attention. As she taught us the varnam we were learning at the time, she taught and explained to us how to properly approach a new ragam or varnam and how to stress on gamakams properly such that it could be sung well. I admire Aarthi Ma’am so much as she is so humble and patient with us and she always encourages us every step of the way and she tells us not to give up when we don’t get it right even after a few tries. She empathises with us and relates to us and it makes learning easier! Aarthi Ma’am is an awesome teacher and I hope to learn so much more from her!
