NI Andrew Horne

I am a south African coach with over 20 year coaching Experience. I played from the age of 5 till about 26. I have coached SA junior champions who went on to win or come in the top three in African championships. I Also coach students from Namibia who have become Namibian Junior champions.

I use lichess to train online with either skype or some form of voice or video contact while training. The joys of the site lichess for training is the student can always go back and check what he has learnt. Especially for endgames and Openings.

Homework can also be checked on the site which i create for the student.

Training for me is so that the student enjoys the game as well as enjoy learning about the game. The magic the pieces create amongst them selves. I try and teach my students losing is a learning curve not a fail. The more losses you take on your trail the more wins you receive later.

I currently Coach a WFM.

My aim is to train a few more students to titles.

    R350/hour (US$18.52/hour)

    Fees can change based on Payment. IF you pay in advance 6 months there is a 7 percent discount. if if you pay for the year there is a 12 percent discount.
