I am looking for a part-time online teaching job. I am a FIDE instructor great teaching experience. I also have the FIDE arbiter title. I am also a first division chess player with large experience. My FIDE ID #: 5303478. I am fluent in English, French and Arabic. I like to keep it as simple as possible for my students to understand and to be able to interact without hesitation. Getting positive or negative feedbacks are more than welcome. I have several years of teaching experience with kids, teenagers and adults. I have helped many of my students achieve better results and encouraged them to participate in official FIDE tournaments. I am also an electrical engineer I can help with students interested in learning electrical engineering courses, programming languages, also physics, math and chemistry.

During year 2019 and 2020 I introduced chess to the school. We started 2 classes, one for beginners and another advanced class. In my first class I had kids under 14. And in the advanced class I had adults with 1400+ rating on chess.com. We worked on opening principal, tactical patterns, endgames. Moreover, I explained FIDE chess rules as per arbiter’s manual.

During the Corona Virus outbreak playing chess on board almost disappeared so I switched to online classes. I gave online sessions to my students to keep them motivated and active. I also worked with the Lebanese chess federation in a program to help young players improve in chess. I had a group of 4 students that I taught online through Skype calls. And I am currently working with a beginner student in the United States using Skype and chess.com. (Bi-weekly sessions).

I gave around 8 sessions per week for several months also. Class was composed of 4 to 8 students. I worked on Saturdays with a kid that suffered from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), based on his therapist recommendations. Working with such students requires a lot of patience, but the positive effects of chess can be life changing and the work is totally worth the effort.
