An avid teacher and constant learner of the English Language and Literature. Have a deep passion for Linguistics. An individual who seeks to understands the strengths of students as well as work on improving grades, especially when it comes to writing and Literature. Offers quality with a personal touch. Teaching style is a mix of old and new- building skills and using technology to enhance learning. Always seeking to bring out the best in students. I am a great teacher simply because I am PASSIONATE, A LIFELONG LEARNER AND SEEK TO INFLUENCE STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND APPRECIATE LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE. My students have an appreciation of the language as I integrate teaching skills of old and new, especially in this digital age. Building skills in learners which carry them through adulthood is of utmost importance to me. My teaching style is interactive and a lot of asking intelligent questions which probe a student's thinking regardless of academic levels
I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT A MAJORITY OF MY STUDENTS SCORED A'S FOR BOTH ENGLISH FIRST AND SECOND LANGUAGE. For those who were very weak, they managed to pass with credits and for that I am even prouder simply because they believed they could do it! Am an expert in writing as well being since I have written numerous articles and was in charge of the language for a website. I ALSO TEACH SINGAPORE BASED ENGLISH SYLLABUS
Lessons are interactive with a lot of questioning and reasoning. Don't expect to come to class just to regurgitate everything you have learnt. I expect my students to be open to learning all the time, to be critical thinkers and most of all to be confident that they can ace their subjects
