Hi Students, I am Raju Dutta and Students lovingly call me ‘RD Sir’. I have completed B.E. in Electrical Engineering from JALPAIGURI GOVT.ENGINEERING COLLEGE (then under NORTH BENGAL UNIVERSITY) in 2001 and M.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Specialisation: POWER ELECTRONICS AND DRIVES) from the same Institute.I have also cracked GATE Examination in 2011 for pursuing full time M.Tech course.
Since 2007, I am in teaching profession. Presently, I am working as Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering Department of a Self-financed B.Tech Engineering in Kolkata.
There is an old saying that teaching is a noble profession. In my view it is not only ‘noble’ profession but also very challenging one. To make understand something properly to another one is very challenging, especially if he/she is a young mind. I am not only a teacher but also an engineer and engineers always love challenges. Above all these young minds also keep me young and energetic.
Being a college faculty I understand where the students used to lag in the school level education. During my session I always try to be friendly with my students to silently know their difficulties in studying better. I not only share my subject knowledge with my students but also try to motivate them for their aim in life.
I take exam time to time and evaluate their progress in study and knowledge. At least once in a week I try to talk with their parents face to face or over phone to convey the status their wards. I never solve a student’s home assignment but only guide and give them proper hints to solve their jobs by their own
