Job Responsibilities – Knowledge transfer, teaching quality assurance, monitoring, training, lesson-planning and execution, curriculum development, coordination, supervision, managing intra and interdepartmental relationships, organising, coordinating and supervising Indo – German exchange program, mentoring Indo-China exchange program, educational excursions, organising school events, competitions and interdepartmental events, team-building exercises, selection of candidates for the department.
Professional Experience
Total work experience – 4 years 8 months

• Worked as a German language teacher at Shri Shikshayatan School, Kolkata for a year.
• Taught as a Guest Faculty of German at Amity University, Kolkata.
• Presently, heading the German department at The Newtown School and have been working in the organisation since last 3 years 7 months.
• Have the experience of working with students from different nationalities.
• Got selected for GETVICO (Virtual Conference for German Teachers organised by Germany and USA) recently. Received global appreciation for presenting the idea “How Music and Dance can build an intercultural bridge in collaboration with language?”

• Was invited as a mentor by Goethe-Institut to be part of a German language camp in Sri Lanka to teach a German Dance Drama which required a good expertise of the language as well as dance. I was fortunate to gather the experience of working both as a German language Instructor and Kathak instructor.
• Conducted several intercultural language and Kathak dance workshops in collaboration with Goethe-Institut / Maxmueller Bhavan with the students of India, Germany, China, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan as part of exchange programmes.
• Mentored and supervised India- China School Exchange programme.
• Received a scholarship from Goethe Institut to pursue a month-long German language C1 level course in Berlin.
• Coordinated German School Exchange programme with two schools of Germany, Gesamtschule Ückendorf, Gelsenkirchen and Richarda Huch Gymnasium.
• Trained in multiple leadership-oriented workshops from well-known professional trainers.
• Achieved the experience of working as a level coordinator for a year.

• Worked as a Kathak dance instructor at Chhandam School of Kathak for 4 years where I have taught kids, teens, and adults.
• Also taught the daughters of sex workers from the red-light districts of Kolkata for 4 years and prepared them to perform at major venues of Kolkata as well as several
schools.

B.A (Honours) in English with 50% aggregate from Rabindra Bharati University.

Masters in English Literature with 55.38% aggregate from Rabindra Bharati University.

Pursuing C1.2 level in German Language from Goethe Institute, Maxmueller Bhavan, Kolkata.
Certified in (DLL – Deutsch Lehrers Lernen) – German Teachers Training Course from Goethe Institut, Maxmueller Bhavan, Kolkata.
Received a scholarship from Goethe Institut for one-month German language course in Berlin, Germany.
