Ho obtained BSc (1st Class Honors) and MPhil degrees from the Dept of Math at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He began his career as a high school teacher teaching P.Math for G12. He is good at classroom teaching. For example, when he teaches geometry or trigonometry, he designs different dynamic plane figures or 3D objects with GeoGebra to demonstrate different concepts for students. Both student-and-student and teacher-and-student interactions are fully conducted in the lessons for effective learning. To cope with the suspension of face-to-face teaching during COVID19, teaching videos have been taped for students to self-study. Meanwhile, the use of Zoom with other technology such as GoodNotes, GoFormative, Desmos explains mathematical skills to students clearly. The learning materials are also organized under Google Classroom to boost the self-directed learning from students.
Over the past 15 years of teaching, he also prepared different tasks to identify the weakness of students. More than 90% of his students attained Level 5 or above (equivalent to A-A* in GCE AL) in local exams for universities Recently, he studied the learning material from IGCSE (Math & A.Math) and IB (Math HL AA), and classified their past papers into different topics in order to broaden students’ global view in further study.
