As a science teacher, I have been employing the inquiry method of learning for years. This method makes learning more student-centered as this makes it easy for the learner to construct her/his own knowledge or understanding of science concepts. I make it a point to make sure that physics or science in general becomes important and relevant in the lives of my students as this sparks a great deal of interest in the field, and it makes the students have more intrinsic motivation. I make my students realize that science, particularly physics, is not just for the geniuses, but it is for everybody.
It has been one of my life goals to find the physics in most things if not in everything, because the way I learned physics made me realize that physics is really in everything -- in every object and event. What makes me feel fulfillment in this profession is the fact that I have made physics enjoyable for my students ranging from the very mathematically inclined laboratory mainstays to the least mathematically inclined athletes and artists.
