I possess strong knowledge of Legal Studies as a subject and ability to teach the same to class 11th and 12th class learners and more. I have a remarkable experience and have a clear understanding of teaching and learning needs of Foundation Course students, who need to excel in School as well as Competitive Exams. I have a habit of continuous self learning and improving myself and I want to imbibe the same habit in my students as well. I possess excellent presentation and effective communication skills and have the ability to communicate complex information in a simple and entertaining manner.
The approach or pedagogy I adopt is more on critical thinking, discussion, open classroom based where students are encouraged not to take notes or to memories anything, rather to try new ways of approaching a single topic/concept. I ask leading questions to assess their prior Knowledge.
Rather than just a teacher, I believe I am more like a facilitator, in this shared journey of discovering the concepts through constant application in our day to day life. The classroom is more open, where we discuss questions and different approaches and try to illustrate that there is no one particular right way and individual minds' thought and approach to a problem can be unique.
The curriculum I follow is based on the curriculum prescribed by the boards, however the
order of the topics in the classroom are based on whether the pre-requisites have been
majorly covered beforehand.
With regard to the assessment we do it throughout the year. As part of the formative assessment all throughout we provide custom worksheets to gauge the assimilation of the content. We take quizzes in between to gauge their retentivity of a previous topic. The learning plans are driven based on the formative assessments. Towards the end we do summative assessment, to gauge if the learning objectives from the concept/chapter have been achieved.
