My father taught me chess at a very early age and I won my first tournament when I was 11. Then after few years I attended chess coaching. I have won many tournaments. I have won third prize in national level inter-AEES chess championship. I have also won consolation prize in Navi Mumbai Mayor’s Cup. I have also represented my Engineering college chess team three times at national level inter-engineering college meet at MIT, Pune. I am a FIDE rated player with an elo of 1330.My profile name on lichess is Viper_yash and my best rating on it has been around 2300.My profile on chess.com is yashwant20 and my peak rating has been around 1805 My teaching method includes starting with basic concepts like the introduction to chess, values of pieces, checkmates, tactics, strategy etc. I will make sure that the students learn all three phases of the game i.e the opening, middlegame and the endgame. For beginners, more emphasis will be put on middlegame and endgame plans with a little bit of attention to opening ideas and principles. As the students will start improving, openings will be covered in a greater detail along with other phases of the game. I will also provide homework and conduct chess tournaments. I will also help students with analysis of their serious games and will help them to work on their weaknesses. I will also suggest some books at the appropriate time.
