I am Dr. Md Afroz Alam, a certified digital teacher with the ICT Academy. I completed my PhD degree in bioinformatics from the Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan (Himachal Pradesh) in 2009. I have 11 years of teaching experience at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and 4 years of online teaching experience at TeacherOn, Superprof, Teachnook EdTech, and the Nano Science and Technology Consortium (NSTC), as well as 19 years of research experience in bioinformatics. I have 24 research publications in reputed journals, 21 conference proceedings, and 2 book chapters. I have delivered 30 invited lectures at national conferences, seminars, and workshops. I have also organized 22 programs, such as workshops, seminars, conferences, and add-on courses, at the national and international levels.
My teaching methodology includes Presentation, Demonstration, Observe and Explain, Question and Answer, Show and tell activity, Questioning and Cross checking, Individual Discussion, Group Discussion, Quiz, Role Play, Brainstorming, Recall by Keywords, Analogy, Unspoken Word Quiz, Short Seminar, Chart Activity, Case study Analysis, Tit-for-Tat, Pick and Answer, Group seminar. For this I use Google Classroom as well as associated platform.
My area of expertise includes computer-aided drug design, molecular modelling and simulation, QSAR and pharmacophore modelling, biostatistics, R programming, and Unix and Linux. I have trained undergraduate and graduate students while pursuing a Ph.D. degree. Since 2009, I have supervised two Ph.D. students, 23 M.Tech. projects, and 47 B.Tech. projects in the field of bioinformatics. I have also supervised three foreign interns: one graduate student from the Technical University of Munich, Germany; one undergraduate student from the University of Leipzig, Germany; and one PhD student from Trabiat Modares University, Iran, who completed their internship project under my able guidance in the IAESTE scheme. I am also a committed mentor at different organizations like, Superprof, Teachnook EdTech, and the Nano Science and Technology Consortium (NSTC).
I have been teaching different subjects in Biology including Zoology and Botany, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics like Computer Aided Drug Designing, Molecular Modeling and Simulation, Cheminformatics and QSAR, Artificial Neural Network, Machine Learning, Molecular evolution and phylogeny, Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering, Bioinformatics Algorithm, Big Data Analysis, R Programming, Unix and Linux, Database System Administration, Next Generation Sequencing, Biological Databases, Computational Biology, Analytical Bioinformatics, Clinical Database Management, Drug Discovery and Clinical Trials, Systems Biology since June 2009.

An Outstanding Tutor!
I’ve had difficulty grasping statistical terminology for a long time, and having just started my doctrines program level statistics class, I had many things to worry about. But after my first session with Dr. Alam, I knew that by the end of the semester, I’d improve in my statistical abilities.
He is very thorough when going over the PowerPoint materials, and also has a comprehensive R learning program that I look forward to utilizing. Bioinformatics tutoring
Dr. Alam is fabulous. He broke down complicated concepts in simple terms that were understandable and relatable. I am not familiar with SPSS, he sped more time to teach from the basics and how to solve my assignment.

the first thing to mention, when I contacted professor MD AFROZ ALAM, he replied within 3 hours, then we arranged our first meeting after one day. I was looking for help in R programming which was really tough course for me. he went through R from the basics until I was able to solve complicated tasks. he listened to my questions and answered everything I was stuck in. I was happy after all the concepts were simplified for me in an academic way shows how expert he is in conveying his knowledge. the price is affordable for students, I have to mention also that he spent half an hour in the first meeting listening to my needs, and at the end he was kind enough to tell me this session is for free.
