Connect with students - I usually make my students comfortable by breaking the ice - esp talking to them something that interests them most so they feel comfortable and can easily open up. Once they gel with me I identify their weakest sections and regularly tap on those points and simultaneously present the subject in most interesting manner to develop their interest in the subject.
