What specific projects or case studies have you worked on using Abaqus, ANSYS and COMSOL Multiphysics that demonstrate your expertise and teaching effectiveness?

I have worked on these student simulation projects in the recent years..
1) Determination of flow and Turbulence characteristics over Single & Dual rotor wind turbines
Performed CFD Simulation analysis and reported the Turbulence intensity, Turbulence Kinetic energy, Wake- vortices, Wall shear stress profiles over the single and Dual rotor wind turbines.
Coupled the CFD results with FSI and multibody Dynamics simulations to determine the Power generated in different cases.

2) Heat transfer Simulation across Building wall
The temperature distribution profiles and heat fluxes at various points of the wall.
The conservation of energy was verified.

3) Stresses, Deflections and forces of a Roof truss Static Structural simulation
The simulation was performed for 11 links roof truss and the results were reported as per the requirement.

4) Hydro Static Structural Simulation on Submarine Pressure vessels - Cylindrical and spherical
The simulation was performed for 8 different configurations of pressure vessels and a comparison report was generated. The loads and boundary conditions were appropriately selected based on the problem statement. The hoop stress, radial stress, longitudinal stress plots were taken along the radial and axial directions.
The student received good feedback for this Simulation report.

5) The bar element Finite element Methods assignment
5. a) The hand calculation was performed
5 b) The excel spreadsheet was created and automated.
5 c) The Simulation was performed.

6) CFD and heat transfer analysis for a huge hemispherical dome building with windcatcher and earth to air heat exchangers
Architectural Ph.D. project! This simulation gives insight into the flow pattern and heat transfer physics. Simulation at the concept phase helps to give answers to a lot of scenarios. The optimized design was selected based on the simulation results.

7) Concept design of robotic assisted Surgical device mechanism
Initially the concept models were generated and kinematics analysis was performed.
Flexible surgical instrument that can flexibly adjust its posture with a high degree of freedom, making it highly suitable for performing surgical tasks in narrow workspaces. The kinematics and inverse kinematics were solved via the geometric and Newton iteration methods, respectively. The proposed method for solving flexible instrument kinematics had a unique solution. The instrument can be well controlled to perform refined operations.

8) Aerodynamic CFD simulation of a classic Rolls Royce car

9) Extrusion die Material selection and Optimization

10) Structural analysis of offshore jacket structure:

Static analysis was performed for drill loading. Modal analysis was performed and the frequency was shifted to reduce the rocking mode vibration. The transient dynamic explicit simulation was performed to understand the structure's behavior under wave and wind loadings.

11) TNT Blastwave loading on a structure

12) Earthquake analysis of a multi-story building.
13) Multiphysics modelling of heat transfer and fluid flow in a Heat exchanger
14) Crack modelling- Cohesive zone
15. Aircraft wing CFD ANALYSIS
16. Report writing on Renewable fuels: Engineering aspects like Combustion, energy analysis for biodiesel and bioethanol are compared and presented.

17. A clevis, whose geometry is shown in Figure 1, has been tested under tensile loading to assess the level of stress concentration around the largest hole under an applied load of 50kN. Material properties for the clevis, pin and attachments are reported in Table 1. Tensile loading is applied by moving the bottom crosshead of the universal testing machine (UTM) at a displacement rate of 1 mm/min, while the top crosshead is fixed. The load is applied until a value of 50kN is measured by the load cell on the UTM. 2D Digital Image Correlation (DIC) has been used to measure strain distributions around the hole with the experimental set up shown in Figure 2. Strain values have been measured in the area highlighted in Figure 3, with a subset size of about 1.57 mm x 1.57 mm for the DIC strain calculations. In-plane strain results are shown in Figure 4. Due to a very tight fit between the pin and the clevis and between the pin and the upper attachment after manufacturing, you may assume perfect bonding between these parts with no slippage occurring during the test. You are asked to produce a finite element model of this test. Please refer to the “Assessment” part of the “Project outline” file for details of the contents of the report. All CAD files of the clevis, pin and attachments geometry

18) Transient and steady state heat conduction with plane wall convection & Internal heat generation using Engineering Equation Solver.

All the above mentioned are projects which I have executed in the past 3 years.
If you would like to get connected with any of my old students, I would be happy to connect! I believe they would say amazing aspects about the project collaboration experience,

I am an R&D engineer. I have in-depth and hands-on technical knowledge. I have a deep passion for making complex concepts look simple and easy.
I have presented at various conferences & delivered technical presentations at IITs.
I love teaching mechanical engineering subjects and FEA Multiphysics simulations using Simulation software...If you prefer to have a personal tutor for COMSOL, FEM, or Abaqus.. I would be happy to support you.

Working in a large Consulting firm, I had the advantage to work on cutting-edge technologies and various product design activities. My association for a decade with my previous organization allowed me to work on simulation tools like
ANSYS,
ABAQUS,
COMSOL Multiphysics,
IDEAS,
SOLIDWORKS,
FLUENT,
EES

I love to teach based on the student's level of understanding. The successful comments I have received are "You can match your teaching style to any level in a one-on-one setting."
Teaching engineering is my passion. I learn, do and teach. So I have the advantage of understanding concepts practically. My understanding is on a much deeper level.
