Good day! My name is Teacher Nikko Geanne Nicanor. I used to teach in Ateneo High School where I handled Grade 12 Math. I acquired my professional teaching license in 2013 . I graduated from the University of The Philippines with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education major in Math/Physics. Quezon City Science High School is my alma mater as well.

I'm fond of shortcuts in Math and exploring different methods of solving. It's fulfilling to see them gain confidence and be encouraged by their scores. In my 14 years of profession, I have noted the greatest factors in effective teaching - mastery and patience. Acknowledging that every student is unique in terms of personality and learning style is crucial. I adjust my teaching methods and pace according to the learner's potential and progress. Teaching for me is more than a job, it's a lifestyle. Imparting wisdom to my students and bringing out the best in them is my calling.

I'm currently taking my Masters in UP and teaching in The Laren School (an internationally renowned Montessori School ) as the Math/Science teacher.

Changed my perspective of Maths. Patient. Taught to teach others.

I have tried a lot of tutorial centers for math since I was in elementary, but they weren’t that impactful. Teacher Nikko was my tutor in math back when I was in junior high school when I struggled with math, especially problem-solving. The techniques and shortcuts he taught me changed the way I approach mathematical problems and also changed the way I view math. I used to hate the subject very much, but his patience and way of explaining concepts helped me understand not just how to solve a certain problem but how to go around it so that I could answer similar other ones. Not to brag, but because of him, my classmates before, ask me to help them solve whenever we have seatwork. I’d proudly recommend Teacher Nikko to students out there despising math!! A 10000/10 for sure 😊

Strong understanding + Patient + Empathetic

Teacher Nikko has a strong understanding of math, but at the same time, he can explain complex math concepts and problems using easy-to-understand shortcuts. He was also very patient and empathetic toward me when I struggled with my math lessons at the time. Because of Teacher Nikko, I became more confident with my math skills and used these skills to ace my exams.

Responsible and Reliable

He was able to help simplify the lessons I thought complicated. The math shortcuts was really helpful. Though some of his methods we're weird at first, it made sense after a few demo.
