Featured in DW documentary .I have been practicing yoga for the past twenty + years.I take a personal and individualized approach to teaching yoga, influenced by my own experience as a practitioner of Karate –inspired Asthanga yoga. The basis of my teaching philosophy is that yoga can benefit all body types; if you can breath, you can benefit from yoga. The base of my classes is a focus on breath, while leading students through a series of asanas. The sequence and intensity of the class vary in accordance with students’ experience, energy and prowess. My classes are accessible to beginners, while also challenging for intermediate students – with individual attention paid to each student.

My adventures in yoga

I was introduced to the yoga way of life by Guruji during the onset of the covid-19 pandemic. Guruji is a thorough professional and an experienced campaigner at this gig. She is super calm and composed and her teaching philosophy and her expertise in this field really shines through. She is really patient with her students and her classes start with the simplest and most basic of asanas which makes it super easy even for a newcomer to get accustomed to her teaching style. Learning yoga from Guruji has helped me gain confidence and has improved my mental physical and spiritual well being to a great extent. I would most definitely recommend her classes to anyone who is a beginner or intermediate or even someone who is an advanced practitioner of yoga for a holistic healing of the mind body and soul.

Only practice will make you perfect

Kanika is a fantastic teacher and a lovely person.Her instructions ,directions are clear and precise so you are not looking up to check you are doing the right thing and she is very observant constantly checking you are positioning .Her classes are energising and fun ,it leaves me feeling very relaxed and centered .She lets you know how far to go in a pose if you have injuries/weaknesses ,which is really helpful.Every student learns so much about how they can improve their practice ,weather thats just getting their breathing right ,finding an easier way to get to a full plank or perfecting forwarded seated bend .She also runs retreats which are really well organised ,in beautiful mountains,with great company and worth every penny .Highly recommended ❤️❤️
