Speaking from experience, I have taught in several schools where even the head of the school was not optimistic about what the general performance of students would be in the next external examination, but due to passion and interest, the students were able to independently achieve the best results the school has ever had in the particular examination. Lastly, if I teach you a topic and sincerely speaking you didn't get it no matter how I explained, then don't hesitate to discontinue the lessons immediately.
