A trainer kathak dancer of Lucknow gharana Have been learning kathak since I was 4, coming from a musical background I understand the nuances of kathak from deep as I’ve seen my Guru-Maa & learnt from her Smt.Sangeeta Sinha ji who is a senior disciple of Pt.Birju maharaj ji, I’ve also learn from him and done his workshops in various cities & had seen and received his teaching & blessing from since childhood. Even after coming from a Lucknow gharana I’m neutral & open to all gharanas for teaching, as my Moto is to promote dance and pass on the cultural things to different generations . A brief of my teaching, Starting with the basics of Kathak dance: Posture, Body stance & Movement technique. Step by step learning of Footwork, Hand movements, Expressions & Palm Gestures, Later: taal, laya, thumris and so on, with practical u combine and give knowledge about the theory portion of Kathak also like what is Kathak, Amad thaat thmri etc. Anyone who is willing to/would like to revisit their hobby or routinely practice the basics of Indian dance style & Beginners who wants to learn, and the Advance level dancers who wants/wish to learn deeper and go in more detail can join for my classes.
