Learning is a process to assimilate skills set, behavior, aptitude and knowledge, If shown some interest in learning the concepts in the subject like statistics, pharmacokinetic or ADME process or pharmaceutical research, one has to attempt his/her efforts in well-planned, co-ordinated way. It may include basic understanding of central tendency, calculus, kinetics, drug ADME processes and inferential statistics, proposed research synopsis. It will be easier for those who knows understanding, remembering and applying concepts. (Blooms level)
I adopt simple methodology in teaching and start it with analogy based illustrations where learner will grasp and assimilate the concepts from understanding and remembering levels. In the next stage, follows the problem based learning approach like application of key parameters like concept of drug clearance, volume of distribution, AUC, level of significance, errors calculation and drawing logical inferences. Another fact comes how to retain it for longer; so I provide Mindmap tools, Keywords/Tricky words to help learner to remember underlying concept. Numerous practice problems (gradual), Brainstorming exercise on excel based pharmacokinetics modelling, level of significance, understanding ADME process, be given to learner for interpretation or comprehension of pharmacokinetic and statistics.
Practice tests (MCQs), puzzles (strategies to improve dissolution rate, bioavailability enhancement, statistical inference) and Instant cognitive skills provide excellent results. Easiest way to understand any concept this process is learning by doing approach where learner will apply the things he/she has learnt (developing questions based on data provided, writing introduction for research project/paper).
Setup the leaning goals, commensurate it with efforts and do practice, and achieve your career goal in the Pharmacokinetic, Bio-pharmaceutics, Drug delivery and statistical sciences.
