As a personal belief the teaching methodology is based on the student grasping and putting it into practice. There may be subtle change in methodology- teaching style from one student to another that is for one student it may be slow and for another a bit faster. With respect to the dance form the teaching methodology is to learn the adavus which are the basic steps after which small adavus grouped together are taught and then the items are taught. I help them understand the lessons taught and also once the student feels comfortable I ask questions to know how much the student has grasped. Trying to understand what the student is feeling tough in may help the student to achieve better. I would like the student to be responsive through the class and practice well so that any doubts can be clarified at the earliest and also relation between the teacher and student is built.
I may also batch students so that one watches another and draws inspiration to perform better.
