Responsible for creating a welcoming classroom environment. Must be able to instruct in a variety of subjects and reach students with engaging lesson plans. Also, responsible for cultivating the students’ interest in education and development. As a school teacher I help my students to be passionate about learning and understands the impact and importance of lifelong education. Being a teacher is a highly rewarding role. I can attest that teaching is one of the few professions where an individual can genuinely make a difference in the lives of others. When, at the end of the day, a young person comes to me to say they’ve learned something today. It’s beautiful. It doesn’t get any better than that.

  • Primary Teacher (Jul, 2014–Present) at St. Mary’s Catholic High School
    • Develop lesson plans, grade class assignments and homework, administer tests and assess students’ performance.
    • Meet with parents to discuss students’ progress and attend meetings with school administration and other teachers as required.
    • Tutor students on an after school basis, if needed, and could also oversee extracurricular programs.
    • Provide instruction in Math, English and other subjects in the classroom if needed.
    • Must track quality of work, class participation, completion of assignments and understanding of the material being covered in each subject. Ensure that students are meeting the grade requirements as set by their state board of education.
    • Ensure a safe and effective learning environment for all students. Also, address any unruly or disruptive behaviors from students and take disciplinary action when needed. Need tp establish a set of rules for their classroom and maintain these rules.
