I am a doctor with a passion for teaching and learning.I had been giving face to face lectures previously to other medical students. As a doctor and a teacher it is my goal to make you understand the topics in the easiest way possible and I make sure you understand the concept and dont need to mug up.
My timing is not always fixed as I have a very flexible routine. For topic based teaching, i first decide outcomes for a specific topic. Then I decide the level of knowledge to be imparted to the students, using Blooms taxonomy. I generally try to cover higher order learning skills in students. Then I decide instructional methodology that best fits for that learning. sometimes I teach through group discussions, sometimes i take real-life parallels and map them to the lecture components. Then I ask students series of questions to lead them to the final answer, triggering the cognitive skills in students. Then I gauge students' performance by applying formative and summative assessments. The results I received from my students are usually excellent and I also learn a lot by teaching them.
