Managing Country Service Desk team and oversee the Incident
Management system (RFC Remedy support) and provide guidance
to service desk engineer.
• Achieving the SLA target for each and every ticket without
breaching it and provide technical support to the engineers for
reaching the specified SLA.
• Oversee the new deployments of computer assets and arranging
the Engineer training programs regarding new technologies and
provide technical support files.
• Updating the regional team and attending to regional telecons and
meetings representing the country and managing the computer
assets under customer portfolio.
• Arranging the customer training regarding security threats and
provide technical awareness for mitigating the risks.
Responsible for Over All IT and Network Infrastructure in Unilever
Srilanka: Horana Factory.
• Managing Peripherals,Laptops,Desktops,Network Printers,Video
Conferencing Devices,Switches,Routers,PABX and Application
Systems in the Site.Accountability of IT
• Asset Management in the site and Asset Deployment when ever
necessary.
• Managing All the vendors of the Unilever Account related to IT &
Network infrastructure. Ensuring 100% CSAT of Unilever Clients
and Providng Better IT Services to all the stake holders.
Ensuring redundant power supply units, Servers, switches,
Routers, AC facility and fire suppression system up and running in
the server room and WAN room.
• Network bandwidth monitoring through Cacti and Network Nodes
Monitoring through Nagios. Managing print server and assigning
access codes to every network printers.
• Over Looking Help-desk support team and directing to proper end
user solutions and follow up their assigned tasks
Closely monitor SLA of the Incident tickets and change request
and help them to resolve it within agreed SLA.
• Monitor the individual performance of helpdesk team and
analyzing the tickets and the way it's closed and help them to close
the tickets.
• Holding responsible of company IT assets and handling IT
procurement
• Aligning regional team with report providing as they required and
providing any information whenever they necessary.
Responsible for administrating infrastructure support in Unilever
Factories in Sri Lanka, including Horana, Agarapathana, Lindel and
16 Distribution Points.
• Managing team members in providing 24-hour support for on-call,
remote, visit support on hotline.
• Responsible for Data Center Monitoring including Servers,
switches, Tape Libraries, Power, AC, Cabling, Labeling.
• Create and manage project plans, identify necessary resources,
and execute project management tasks throughout the life
of global projects; Win 7 migration, WAN optimization, Aruba
wireless, Nagios and Cacti Monitoring Tool.
Planning, designing and implementing word class IT
infrastructure for Unilever Horana Factory with LAN, WAN, PABX,
wireless, access control systems, and managing Supportive Multi
vendors.
• Managing 2KM of multi-mode fiber with in a factory and
connecting Head office and Horana factory from SLT Fiber link.
• Setting up Web-Conferencing Units, Deploying Desktops and
laptops, setting up the network Printers and Scanners, ADSL
Routers, working with RFC Remedy IT Service management in the
enterprise support and working with regional Team in UK.
• Supporting to various application programs within the factory
such as Canteen System, Visitor Management system and SAP R3
ERP system and escalating the issues to Application support team
as per support structure.
• Coordination between ISP's such as telecom, Dialog and
Metropolitan team and follows up the task till issue is solved.
