Welcome! My name is Sanjana Dave. I am a singer and teacher residing in Nagpur, Maharashtra. I teach vocal music offering both in person and online lessons.

I teach Both Indian Classical & Bollywood Music.

    I have been teaching Indian classical vocal music since 10 years. I have also taught in music institution. I am teaching to both beginners and advanced level.

    I learned music from Kothekar guruji and Manjushri Soman madam. In graduation one of my subjects was music.

    My teaching includes swar vistaar of perticular raga, it's chota & bada khayaal, alap, taan and tarana.I use taanpura, tabla and harmonium with singing.

    I believe that learning anything including music requires patience and interest. While teaching I take care of individual students interest and level of understanding.

    Level:
    I teach beginners, intermediate and advanced
    level.

    Topics:
    In general my teaching includes these topics:

    * Swar & Alankar _ its different patterns
    * Lay (rhythm) & taal
    * Raag _ Sargam geet & Chota Khayal (bandish) of different raagas
    * Bhajan, Abhang, Rabindra sangeet, Simple songs, Sarasvati vandana etc
    * Raag _ Chotakhayal _ Taan & Aalap
    * Tarana
    * Advanced level includes:
    Revision of raagas, detailed learning of ragas, its chota and bada khayaal, layakaari & swar vistaar (self improvisation).

    Age:
    Music can be learnet in all ages. I teach all age group

    Students:
    My students are from all levels (beginner, intermediate & advanced) & of all age groups. I understand that you need to be flexsible about timing as students are persuing their studies or some are busy professionals. Some students want to learn just for themself other want to improve their singing performence. I try to understand their need and teach accordingly. I teach one student at a time. My students are from India, UK & US.

Lovely music teacher

Dave Ma'am is very knowledgeable and teaches in a great student-friendly way. Tailors teaching according to my understanding. Really enjoyable lessons, Dave Ma'am has revitalised my interest in Hindustani Classical singing. Her lessons have deepened my understanding and appreciation for music and made me a better singer; so glad I started learning from her!
