Greetings! I'm Troy, an accomplished speech and debate tutor and coach with a passion for fostering student growth and success in the exciting world of competitive forensics. With a remarkable track record including being named NSDA Student of the Year in my district, achieving four-time national qualifications, and clinching an impressive seven state championship titles, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to my coaching practice.

Throughout my coaching career, I have facilitated the qualification of many students to nationals and coached students who qualified for the National Individual Tournament of Champions. Additionally, I am proud to have coached state champion pieces in multiple states in all categories. Furthermore, I have coached All-State performances between large Groups and Individuals for the IHSSA organization.

My dedication to student success extends beyond competitive achievements. I firmly believe in empowering students to take ownership of their learning and performance. That's why I emphasize student input and the enjoyment of the events in my coaching approach. I work tirelessly to ensure that every student feels proud of their progress and product, whether it's crafting compelling arguments, honing persuasive speaking skills, or perfecting dramatic interpretations.

In addition to traditional speech and debate events, I specialize in writing custom pieces for acting and coaching students in their performance.
