Hi! My name is Thaer (Thay-yer). And I’m excited to be your mentor and tutor through nursing school! I have a long experience in teaching and in research, and I enjoy mentoring students. It allows me to express my need to help people now that I don’t practice nursing anymore. I was a pediatric-oncology nurse for 5 years before moving into nursing research, then moved to teach as a professor at UMass Boston. I’m taking a break from teaching large classes for a year and realized I miss teaching! So, that’s why I’m here. I’m happy to help with the NCLEX process, with nursing research assignments, and with essays and tutoring if needed. I’ve taught courses across the nursing profession and I’m always happy to try to get the message through in as simple and straightforward a way as possible. I believe that my students go through a lot of stress and pressure as they go through nursing school, and I hope I can be an ally and make sure they can get through and become colleagues instead of students.
