Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced mentor to guide a student through their IB Internal Assessment (IA) and Extended Essay (EE) in Mathematics. The ideal candidate should have expertise in the IB Mathematics curriculum, a strong academic background in the subject, and a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized guidance and support in the planning, research, drafting, and editing of the IA and EE in Mathematics.
- Ensure the student adheres to IB Mathematics requirements, assessment criteria, and subject-specific guidelines.
- Assist in topic selection, research methodologies, data analysis, and structuring the essays.
- Offer constructive feedback on drafts to enhance the mathematical accuracy and quality of work.
- Monitor progress and help meet submission deadlines.
Requirements:
- Strong familiarity with the IB Mathematics curriculum and its assessment standards.
- Proven experience mentoring students in IA and EE preparation in Mathematics.
- Exceptional mathematical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a student-centered teaching approach.
- A degree in Mathematics or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous IB Mathematics teaching or mentoring experience.
- Experience in advanced mathematical research or data analysis.
