I am looking for a tutor for advanced level physics. The subject matter is magnetic field in the magnetosphere, as observed by the MMS spacecrafts. I have some data that I want to analyze. Some researchers have used polynomial reconstruction to create field at some location. They read 4-point field information, and re-create the field. I need to verify how faithful is the reproduction. The polynomially reconstructed field should be approximately similar to the observed values. The code is in Matlab, with very little, if at all, comments.

You must have expert level skill in Matlab, and be able to make good guess based on the code and based on your math and physics skills. On the math side, you need to know Taylor's expansion in 3D inside out, eigenvalues of a Jacobian. Some Maxwell's equations.

For the second phase of this "project", if you have understanding of bifurcation (changes in topology), that would be very, very nice.

Prefer a PhD, but if you have a Masters degree, and experience with these kinds of things, I am ok.

Online preferred, but face-to-face is ok too.
