Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Robotic Trainer to educate and inspire young students aged 5-15 in the fields of robotics, electronics, and coding. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electronics, Arduino programming, mBot robotics, App Inventor, and a passion for teaching children in an engaging and interactive manner.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement age-appropriate robotics and coding curriculum for children aged 5-15, ensuring lessons are engaging, educational, and aligned with learning objectives.
Instruct students on the fundamentals of electronics, introducing concepts such as sensors, actuators, and basic circuitry.
Teach Arduino programming, guiding students through hands-on projects to build and program robots and interactive devices.
Utilize mBot robotics kits and other educational tools to facilitate learning, demonstrating how to assemble, program, and troubleshoot robots.
Introduce students to App Inventor for creating mobile applications, focusing on basic app development concepts and user interfaces.
Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration among students.
Conduct assessments to track student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure understanding and skill development.
Assist in organizing and supervising robotics competitions, workshops, and outreach events to showcase students’ achievements and foster community engagement.
Stay updated with advancements in robotics education, integrating new technologies and teaching methodologies into curriculum development.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Education, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in robotics education and teaching children, with a solid understanding of electronics, Arduino, mBot, App Inventor, and coding principles.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Scratch, Python, or Java, suitable for beginners.
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to young students in a clear and understandable manner.
Passion for STEM education, with a commitment to nurturing children’s interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Prior experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders to support students’ learning and development.
