Hello,
I’m reaching out because I’m looking for a home teacher for my two children, ages 4+ and 6+. My older child is highly functional on the autism spectrum, and both children follow an unschooling approach (a type of homeschooling) with influences from Waldorf and Reggio Emilia. I’d like to explain my requirements to see if this might be something you’re interested in.
What I’m Looking For:
- A teacher to work 3 times a week from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at my home.
- Someone who can follow a detailed lesson plan I will provide, but who is also flexible enough to adjust and pivot if the plan isn’t working in the moment.
- A tutor who is fun, easygoing, and patient—able to engage the children with creativity and adaptability.
- Someone willing to embrace child-led learning, focusing on their interests, strengths, and needs rather than a rigid curriculum.
- A teacher who is open to learning new approaches, as I have 11 years of teaching experience and may guide you through some training in our unique method of learning.
About the Role:
- Both children learn through play, exploration, and real-world experiences, so we’d need someone who is comfortable with a flexible and hands-on teaching style.
- My older child thrives with sensory-friendly strategies, so experience with neurodivergent children is a plus but not mandatory.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, I’d love to discuss further and answer any questions you might have. Please let me know your availability for a conversation.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards.
