Story of an unwritten story

I have a trampoline on which I love to jump with my 3-year-old kid.

One day, I jumped on it for about half an hour. After I was done, I tried to jump on the floor. It was almost impossible. My ankle just won’t fire. I had this idea — If jumping on a trampoline is like jumping on the moon, then jumping on a planet with more gravity than earth’s gravity would be more difficult.

In order to feel how it would be to jump on a planet with more gravity, you can just jump on a trampoline for 5–10 minutes and then try to jump on the floor

To complete my story, I needed a planet which is bigger than earth — as bigger planets have more gravity than smaller planets.

That gave me four planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. As I read further, I realized that you can’t really jump on any of them as they don’t have a solid surface — and are mostly gases.

If you wanted to land an aircraft or just want to jump, you can’t as they are just a big ball of gases. These planets will simply suck you in and keep doing so until the pressure is so high that it will crush you.

But you don’t have to worry about that, you will be dead a long time before that. Here’s one of the videos that inspired this post.

Finally, I just dropped the idea of jumping on a higher gravity planet. I just jump on my trampoline now.
