The current study is used for the investigation of the design and cooling load analysis of an air conditioning unit used in the cabin of a delivery truck. The cooling load was investigated and determined in eight different directions. The local summer months of April to September were selected for the analysis. The selected Cab was Volvo FH Cab and its dimensions were obtained from the Manufacturer’s catalogue. In Pakistan, the trucking profession is mostly for trading activities. Goods from one place to another are delivered through Delivery trucks. The health and safety of drivers are given crucial importance, and it is necessary to make sure that a proper air-conditioning system is installed in delivery truck cabins. HAP, an Hourly analysis program, is a computer tool for assisting engineers in developing HVAC systems for commercial buildings, and is limited to stationary buildings, but to calculate the maximum cooling load, we analyzed truck movement and rotated its cabin for eight different orientations. The results obtained from HAP were used to size the components of the AC system having a certain value of the COP, and discussions were made on the impacts of the inclusion of the AC system on the health of truck drivers. The electricity required to run the AC is produced by the Solar system. We designed the PV system. We make economic analysis. Then we discuss the Environmental Sustainability of the truck, like the advantages of using a PV System. We do the comparative analysis and then conclude. Its Presentation is also available.
